If you have a new or recent release and would like to promote it by doing an in-store live performance, stop by the shop or email us to set one up. We generally don’t book in-stores via social media messaging or over the phone, and in-person is preferred. We have a simple PA, 3 vocal mics and 2 DI boxes, with two monitor wedges running a single mix across the front. 

We can host an in-store on a Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday. Please be advised this is a small space – the store has a comfortable audience capacity of 30-35 people at most.  If you have never been here, we suggest you come by and check it out before asking to book an in-store. We have hosted everyone from experimental electronica and hip-hop artists to acoustic singer songwriters to punk and metal bands. A 30-minute set is about right. Apart from the occasional special event, we are not booking multi-act shows.

We do not have a “built-in crowd”. Attendance at in-stores is largely dependent on whatever promotion you do. If you have a digital flyer, please email it to us so we can put it up on our site and on social media. We have wall space for a physical flyer if you have one. We do not charge a cover for instores. We do have a cash tip jar for musicians on the front counter. Feel free to bring a printed QR code to put on there as well, if you wish. We prefer that you sell your own records, CDs, shirts etc. as you would at a club show.

With a few weeks advance notice, we can arrange to have some complimentary beers and sparkling waters courtesy of (512) Brewing and Rambler Austin, while it lasts. From there it is BYOB.
